Bill and I both read this hilarious book, A Little Off-Kelter by Kelly Coleman Potter. We can't wait for the print copies to come out, so we can send them to our friends. Her boys went to the same school as our son, but they had adventures in and out of school. Their life was much more fun with two brothers than our one boy had. Too bad we hadn't lived closer! Wait, our son is much older.... Well, we really relived those years through Kelly's wonderful memories. She was brave to sign on for her weekly column, and she never let the newspaper, or her readers, down. Wait for her next book, and the next, because she sees all, tells all, and makes you laugh at it all.Tags : A Little Off-Kelter...the parenting years - Kindle edition by Kelly Coleman Potter. A Little OffKelterthe parenting years edition by Kelly Coleman Potter Humor Entertainment eBooks Reviews
I enjoyed this book because it was funny and insightful. It was a dose of truthful reality presented in an entertaining manner. I would highly recommend this book for anyone wanting a honest parenting book.
This is one of the funniest books about parenting I have ever read! Kelly reminds me of this generations Erma Bombeck! I literally laughed out loud many times while reading this book!I can hardly wait until she has another book ready for me, I am now a loyal Kelly Coleman follower.
All parents experience those exquisite stages of growth and development in their own special ways. The author reminds us of the highs and lows and those hilarious moments that make being mom so memorable. From the trenches of toddlerhood to the bleachers of endless football practice, the author offers a highly entertaining read about raising two boys in Indiana.
So true . Made me smile .Nice short enjoyable read. As I read it I could remember the the things my boys did . Like the day they drew stripes on themselves with markers when stripped down to their underwear and growl as they told me they were tigers .
Started laughing almost as soon as I started reading. Lovely reminder that you are not alone in the world when it comes to the questions, thoughts and challenges of children. Easy, quick to read, something that you can enjoy whether you have a few minutes of quiet at home, you're in the car waiting for school/sports pick ups or even hiding in the bathroom because you need just five minutes of alone time. The flashbacks alone make it worth the read!
I thoroughly enjoyed the laughter this collection brought me. I went from "OMG, how hilarious!" to "Yep, I had that same thought." It was very easy reading and getting into the flow of the writing. Dry wit and lots of smiles. I know I'll be keeping this one on the home page of my . When I'm having "one of those days", I can sneak off to the bathroom and take a few minutes to remind myself that there's humor in all the things kids do to drive us batty. We just need to look for it.
Funny, funny, FUNNY! This little book kept me laughing the whole way through! As a mother of one boy and someone who grew up with three siblings (relatively close in age), I could totally relate to every story in this book. It is a collection of humorous newspaper columns the author wrote back when her children were pre-adults. The only negative I have to say about this book is that it ended too soon.
